Legacy of Silence
The Silence We Inherit
Some inherit houses. She inherited the silence inside one.
A haunting story about inheritance, memory, and the ways we learn to speak again.
When Vanessa returns to her family’s coastal cottage, the past begins to whisper —
softly, like the sea calling her home.
About the Book
Legacy of Silence follows Vanessa — a woman haunted by her father’s secrets and the quiet strain within her marriage.
When she returns to her family’s seaside home, she must decide whether to repeat what was passed down,
or finally name what has been carried in silence for generations.
Lyrical, psychological, and deeply human, the novel explores how we inherit grief —
and how we become the language that heals it.
“He left her the house, the harbor, and the silence that lived between them. But the silence, she would learn, was never empty — it was waiting to be answered.”
Author’s Reflection
I wrote Legacy of Silence for the women who were taught to hold everything inside — their love, their sorrow, their truth. It’s a story about learning to listen to what was left unsaid, and finding the courage to answer it with tenderness. Every page is a prayer for healing — for the daughter who stays, and for the woman who finally lets go.
